Watchlist

The watchlist lets you monitor domains you don't currently own but are interested in acquiring. Track their expiry status and be ready when they become available.

Adding Domains to the Watchlist

  1. Go to Watchlist in the sidebar
  2. Click Add to Watchlist
  3. Enter the domain name you want to monitor (e.g. example.com)
  4. Optionally add a note about why you're watching this domain
  5. Click Add

Tidy Names will look up the domain's current registration status, expiry date, and registrar information using public RDAP data.

What You Can Track

For each watched domain, you can see:

  • Registration status - whether the domain is currently registered
  • Expiry date - when the current registration expires
  • Registrar - which registrar currently holds the domain
  • Your notes - any context you've added

Removing from the Watchlist

To stop watching a domain, click the remove button on the watchlist entry. This only removes the domain from your watchlist - it doesn't affect the domain itself.

Use Cases

  • Track competitor domains or industry-relevant names
  • Monitor premium domains waiting for them to expire
  • Keep a list of domains your organisation is considering registering
