Login History
Your login history shows a record of every sign-in to your Tidy Names account. Use it to verify that all activity is legitimate and to identify any unfamiliar sessions.
Viewing Your Login History
- Go to User Settings → Login History
- You will see a chronological list of your recent sign-ins
Each entry shows:
- Date and time of the sign-in
- IP address the request came from
- Browser and device information (user agent)
- Sign-in method - magic link or SSO (Microsoft Entra ID)
Managing Sessions
If you notice a sign-in you do not recognise, or if you want to secure your account after a device change, you can sign out of all other sessions:
- Go to User Settings → Security
- Under Sessions, click Sign out all other sessions
- Confirm the action
This immediately invalidates every active session except your current one. Anyone signed in on another device will need to sign in again.
When to Check Your Login History
- After enabling or changing 2FA - verify that no unexpected sign-ins occurred before you secured your account
- If you receive an unexpected magic link email - someone may have tried to sign in with your email address. Check your login history to see whether they succeeded.
- Periodically - a quick review of recent sign-ins is good security hygiene, especially for accounts with access to sensitive domain data
Troubleshooting
Unfamiliar IP address or device
If you see a sign-in from an IP address or device you do not recognise:
- Sign out all other sessions from User Settings → Security
- Enable two-factor authentication if you have not already
- If you suspect your email account has been compromised, change your email provider's password and contact support@tidynames.com
No login history showing
Login history is recorded from the point the feature was enabled. Older sessions from before this date will not appear.
Next Steps
