Email Authentication

The security overview gives you a bird's-eye view of email security compliance across every domain in your organisation - showing which domains have SPF, DKIM, and DMARC properly configured.

Understanding the Dashboard

Navigate to Security in the sidebar to see four summary cards:

  • Total Domains - all domains in your organisation
  • Fully Protected - domains with all three email security protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) configured
  • Partially Protected - domains with one or two protocols configured
  • Unprotected - domains with no email security records detected

An overall Security Score percentage shows how much of your portfolio is fully protected.

The Three Protocols

Each protocol card on the page explains what it does:

  • SPF (Sender Policy Framework) - specifies which mail servers are authorised to send email on behalf of your domain
  • DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) - adds a digital signature to outgoing emails to verify they haven't been tampered with
  • DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication) - tells receiving servers what to do with emails that fail SPF or DKIM checks

Filtering Domains

Use the filter controls to narrow the domain table by protection level - Fully Protected, Partially Protected, or Unprotected. This makes it easy to prioritise which domains need attention first.

Per-Domain Details

For a detailed breakdown of any domain's email security records, click the domain name to open its detail page and switch to the Email Security tab. See the Email Security guide for more information.
