Portfolios
Portfolios let you group related domains together - by project, client, brand, or any other category that makes sense for your organisation.
Creating a Portfolio
- Go to Portfolios in the sidebar
- Click Create Portfolio
- Enter a name (required), an optional description, and choose a colour from the ten preset options
- Click Create
Assigning Domains
Open a portfolio and click Assign Domains to see a searchable list of all your organisation's domains. Select the domains you want to include and confirm.
A domain can only belong to one portfolio at a time. If a domain is already in another portfolio, it will be highlighted - assigning it moves it to the new portfolio automatically.
Portfolio Overview
Each portfolio detail page shows three summary cards:
- Total Domains - the number of domains in the portfolio
- Expiring Soon - domains expiring within the next 30 days
- Total Renewal Cost - the combined annual renewal cost for all domains in the portfolio
Below the summary, a table lists every domain with its registrar, status, expiry date, and renewal cost. You can remove individual domains from the portfolio without deleting them from your account.
Editing and Deleting
Use the Edit button to change a portfolio's name, description, or colour. Use Delete to remove the portfolio entirely - the domains themselves are not affected and will remain in your organisation.
Portfolios vs Tags
Portfolios are exclusive groupings - each domain belongs to at most one portfolio. They're ideal for organisational units like clients or projects. Tags are non-exclusive labels - a domain can have many tags. They're better for cross-cutting attributes like "priority" or "marketing".
