Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Tidy Names service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

These Terms are an agreement between you and Elevelay Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (SC898093), which operates Tidy Names. "We", "us", and "our" in these Terms refer to Elevelay Ltd.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service prior to the change taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account and use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

The Service allows you to connect third-party registrar accounts by providing API credentials. These credentials are used exclusively to read domain and DNS data from your registrar accounts. We request only the minimum permissions necessary and operate in read-only mode. We never modify your domains, DNS records, or registrar settings.

You are solely responsible for the API keys and credentials you provide. You represent that you have the authority to connect the registrar accounts you add to the Service and that doing so does not violate any agreement with your registrar or any applicable law.

We encrypt all registrar credentials at rest using AES-256-GCM. In the unlikely event of a security incident, we will notify affected users promptly so you can rotate your API keys.

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. By selecting a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees as described on our pricing page. All fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis and are non-refundable except as required by law.

You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes take effect immediately, and billing is prorated accordingly. If you downgrade to a plan with lower limits and your current usage exceeds those limits, you will retain access to existing data but will not be able to add new domains or team members until your usage is within the new plan's limits.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.

Consumers: your 14-day right to cancel. If you are buying as a consumer rather than for a business, you normally have 14 days to cancel this contract. Because the Service is supplied digitally and starts as soon as your payment completes, we ask you to confirm at checkout that you want it to start immediately and that you understand you lose that right once it does. We record that confirmation and the date you gave it. If you would prefer to keep the 14-day right, contact us before subscribing and we will arrange for access to begin after the period ends.

All fees are stated exclusive of VAT and any other applicable sales or transaction taxes. Where we are required to charge such taxes, they will be added to the fees at the prevailing rate and shown separately on your invoice.

Customers in the European Union. We currently supply the Service to businesses in the EU only. If your billing address is in an EU member state you must provide a valid VAT registration number at checkout, which we submit for verification against the EU VIES service; the supply is then reverse-charged and you account for VAT in your own member state. We may decline or cancel and refund a subscription where an EU billing address is not supported by a valid VAT number. This is a temporary restriction and not a judgement about any customer - if you are an EU consumer and would like access, please contact us.

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. By providing payment information, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

Tidy Names is a monitoring and aggregation tool. We do not guarantee the accuracy of data retrieved from third-party registrar APIs. You are responsible for verifying domain expiry dates and taking appropriate action to renew your domains directly with your registrar. We are not liable for any domain expirations, lapses, or losses resulting from reliance on data displayed in the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings. Upon termination, we will delete your account data within 30 days, including stored registrar credentials, domain data, and team information.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms, if your use of the Service poses a security risk, or if we are required to do so by law. Where possible, we will provide advance notice before terminating your account.
