Domain Details

Click any domain name in Tidy Names to open its detail page - a multi-tab view with everything you need to know about that domain.

Overview Tab

The default tab shows key registration details:

  • Registrar - which registrar holds the domain and whether it was synced or added manually
  • Status - active, expiring, expired, or pending transfer
  • Expiry date - with a relative time indicator (e.g. "in 45 days")
  • Nameservers - the currently configured nameservers
  • Registrant - the registered owner (may show privacy service details)
  • Renewal cost - the annual renewal price and auto-renew status
  • Tags - assigned tags with the ability to add or remove them
  • Notes - free-text notes for your team

For manually added domains, a Refresh button pulls fresh data from public RDAP and DNS servers. A Remove button deletes the domain from your organisation.

DNS Records Tab

Displays all DNS records for the domain, organised by type (A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS, and more). Records come from either your registrar connection (synced domains) or live DNS queries (manual domains). See the DNS Records guide for more details.

Domain Protection Tab

Analyses the domain's protection status using RDAP data (EPP status codes). Shows whether:

  • Transfer lock is enabled (prevents unauthorised transfers)
  • Registrar lock is in place
  • WHOIS privacy is active
  • Any server-side holds are applied

Email Security Tab

Checks the domain's email authentication records:

  • SPF - sender policy framework record
  • DMARC - domain-based message authentication policy
  • DKIM - scans 23 common selectors for DKIM records

Each protocol shows a pass/fail indicator with the actual record content and actionable recommendations. See the Email Security guide for more details.
