Five minutes to full visibility

No domain transfers, no DNS changes, no downtime. Add domains by hand, import a spreadsheet, or connect a registrar to sync automatically - start with whichever you are comfortable with.

Step 1

Add your domains - three ways in

Type a domain name and Tidy Names looks up its registration details, expiry date, nameservers, and DNS records for you. Import a spreadsheet to add up to 500 at once. Or connect a registrar with a read-only API key and every domain in the account appears by itself. You can mix all three in one portfolio, and add a registrar connection later - or never.

Step 2

The details fill themselves in

However a domain got into your portfolio, Tidy Names reads its public registry and DNS data: expiry date, nameservers, every DNS record, SPF, DKIM and DMARC, transfer lock, and WHOIS privacy. None of that needs a credential, because none of it is private. DNS and registry data, transfer lock and WHOIS privacy included, are re-read and stored every 6 hours, however the domain was added, and checked again live whenever you open a domain.

Step 3

Set your alert schedule

Choose when you want to be reminded about upcoming renewals: 30, 14, 7, or 1 day before expiry. Alerts go straight to your email inbox, not buried in registrar marketing. You control the schedule.

From here

Manage your whole portfolio in one place

Tag domains by client or project, compare renewal costs across registrars, see DNS and email authentication re-checked every 6 hours, and invite team members with role-based access. Everything you need without logging into five different dashboards.

Cautious about API keys? You do not need one.

Most of what Tidy Names shows you comes from public registry and DNS records, not from your registrar account. Add a domain by hand or import a spreadsheet and you get all of this without handing over a single credential.

With no credentials at all

  • Expiry dates, nameservers, and every DNS record
  • SPF, DKIM, and DMARC analysis across your portfolio
  • Transfer lock and WHOIS privacy status
  • Renewal alerts at 30, 14, 7, or 1 day before expiry

What connecting a registrar adds

  • Every domain in the account found for you, including the ones you forgot
  • The full DNS zone where the registrar hosts it, not just what a lookup can see
  • Auto-renewal status straight from the registrar
  • Renewal pricing, where the registrar exposes it

A spreadsheet can carry renewal costs and auto-renew flags too, if you already track them somewhere. Connect a registrar whenever you want new domains to appear by themselves - or leave it, and keep adding domains yourself.

And if you do connect one, your credentials are safe

All registrar API credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. We only request read access - we never modify your domains or registrar settings.
